Get Organized

1.Get more stuff organized so students can access it without my assistance.
I have lots of stuff, so I am weeding out, giving away, and finding new ways to put things away. I just got home from Target where I spent $200. Okay not all of it was for organizing. But I did buy ahead on a couple of items that I don't want to run out of like makeup:)

 2. To give back by helping the teachers on my floor.
My best friend and aide for five years is moving across the hall with her own class of 4 year olds. Also, I have a brand new teacher moving in next door to teach kindergarten with me. It will be an adventure for sure.

The top picture was last year's attempt at getting my word work cards organized.  It was okay, but not very sturdy.  Also, I still had lots of card sets without a home.
This year I purchased a bunch of clear pencil cases for binders.  Can you see the difference?

Get Well Freebie

Freebie Fridays

I don't know about your part of the country, but last year we had a lot of sick kids in our classroom.
I had more kids throwing up in the first month of school than I had in 10 years of teaching. It did not get much better as the year progressed, despite all the disinfectants.

So today freebie is some get well clipart.  There is a version for public and parochial schools.
I just ask that you give me credit as such:

Fourth Freebie

I am celebrating the Fourth with a Freebie

Much of the clipart that I have found on the internet does not include all 50 stars and 13 stripes.  As a teacher, I believe it is important that clipart used in education reflect the important features of our country's symbols.  So here is a quick freebie to celebrate our freedom.

The Versatile Blogger

Lauren, you are so awesome!

Today, I went to work on the daunting task of putting my classroom back together.  I don't know about your school, but we have to pack up everything in May.  Then it is all moved out so the floors can be waxed.  Finally, we put it all back together before school starts in August.  Needless to say, I was hot and tired when I got home.

You can imagine how much my spirit was lifted when I discovered Lauren had sent me a bloggers award!

You should definitely stop by her blog and check it out.  She has been like my new best friend this summer giving me lots of help and support as I started my store and blog.

Now there are a few rules to follow when receiving this award.
1. Thank the blogger who nominated you.
2. Include a link to their site.
3. Include the award image in your post
4. Give 7 random facts about yourself.
5. Nominate 15 other bloggers for the award.
6. When nominating, include a link to their site.
7. Let other bloggers know they've been nominated.

Seven Random Facts about Me:

1.  I am new to Blogging.  My first post was June 18th, 2012
2.  I just opened my Clipart store on June 1, 2012
3.  I like to make video shows of my students singing or acting out bible stories.
4.  I create bible stories with puppets to share with my class.
5.  I even created a lego stop motion video clip about St. Francis.
6.  My classroom is getting a Smartboard this summer.  Yay!
I have used the software with a projector and computer for three years already with a whiteboard.
7.  I love my new MacBook Pro!
